Boots of the month April
Agraro's boots of the month April
The Blackking Seatrawler from VINTAGE WELLIES
I'm so excited about the Blackking Seatrawler from Vintage Wellies that I can't resist telling you about them this month. The Seatrawler model is a 3/4 length wading boot. The shaft of the boot is made from a single piece of thicker rubber, which makes it hold by itself, which is not the case with other boots of this type. The wide shaft is generously sized so that the thigh faces plenty of room.
Even putting on the rubber boots is exciting. You notice immediately that these are very special wading boots. Then, when you take your first step, you feel that the upper hits the back of your thigh and then you have to apply a slight pressure to make the knee bend. Not all rubber boot fans may like that. However, I personally like it a lot. I have been looking for something like these slightly stiff shafts that make walking a bit more difficult. This should please some people just as much. Still, the comfort is good. I can well imagine that it gets quite tiring by the evening if you walk around in them all day.
With these 3/4 wading boots, the master can certainly give his booted servant some pleasant hours. For lovers of this kind of fantasy, these waders are an absolute must.
The founder of Vintage Wellies, Martin, and his business partner in Argentina have hit the nail on the head. They make the wellies that many rubber boot lovers miss. They are reviving what almost all the big manufacturers have given up on, namely making rubber boots from real rubber and by hand. Their range of rubber boots may be modest, but it faces it.
One thing is for sure: I will not leave it at the first two pairs. I hope that many of you will support this enterprise by buying wellies from Vintage Wellies. With this in mind, I hope you will have fun with your wellies or waders from Vintage Wellies.
